Firstly Ashlee would just like to say that the kids are having a great time. Billets are brilliant and the kids have made some great friends! They are being well looked after!
Mitch and Wanganui Waimarino Intermediates won the NZ Champs and Mitch got Best No 1!

DAY ONE OF COMPETITION - Saturday

Beautiful day in Turangi – look on the map. Fields green and lush and excitement brewing!! This is the NZ Junior and Intermediate Championships!

Game 1 - Maitland VS King Country

Mostly the Tuwharetoa kids that are billeting us!!!!

Coaches Mitchell Anderson and Steve Watson said “particular mention of the second section that played good structured polocrosse and worked well together.”

Game 2 -  Maitland 12 VS Combined 13

Sections played as above but in the 5th chukka needed to change the first section. After that had nail biting games but got pipped in the last couple of minutes of the last chukka!!!! Ellen Gould to # 1, Lachlan Snowden to # 2 and Lachlan Downes to # 3.

DAY TWO OF COMPETITION - Sunday

Horrible wet day and all games cancelled except Juniors and Intermediates. Maitland had another win over Auckland, that’s 2 wins 1 loss for the weekend.

The  NZ team to play them next weekend at Otorohanga has been announced.
